How to get the most from an LED upgrade, from color and dimming to fixtures and controls.
LEDs are sold by color temperature. Warmer light (around 2700K–3000K) suits living rooms and bedrooms; cooler light (around 4000K–5000K) works well in garages, shops and task areas. We help you pick a consistent look room to room.
Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts. We look at the room, ceiling height and how you use the space to suggest fixture count and spacing.
Not every LED works with every dimmer. Flicker or buzzing usually means a mismatch. We pair LED-compatible dimmers with the fixtures or bulbs you choose.
Some older fixtures and recessed cans can take LED retrofit kits. Others are better replaced. We explain which makes sense for each room.
Recessed lighting, kitchen and under-cabinet lighting, garage and shop lighting, and swapping old fluorescent fixtures are the projects we see most in Loveland homes and businesses.
Smart switches, occupancy sensors and timers can make LEDs even more useful. See our switches and dimmers page.

“Justin and his team did an outstanding job with the electrical work in our home. They installed a fan box and updated the switch so everything works exactly how we wanted. They also managed to safely hang a large chandelier about 20 feet up in our entryway, which looks fantastic. The crew was very professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process.…”
